Awesome Burgers

Plain burgers suck.  Currently, I'm in the process of perfecting an A1 steak sauce burger (I'll share the recipe when it's ready).  For now, try these ranch burgers.  They're easy and awesome.  Enjoy.

Add 1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Original Ranch Salad Dressing Mix to 1 lb. ground beef, mix well. Form into 4 patties and grill.  (Add a 1/2 cup of cheese to the mix before grilling for even more awesomeness.)

The NBA Finals begin tonight. I think the Heat will take the series in six games.  Your predictions?

One Hundred Followers

My thanks goes out to everyone who helped me reach this milestone (even though "Followers" widget seems to be broken right now. It must be overwhelmed with followers).  I look forward to sharing more of my favorite recipes and sports takes with everyone.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to have a celebratory cig.

Corn Nuggets

This is one of my favorite foods ever.  They are amazing.  This recipe is kind of a pain in the ass to make, so if you haven't had them before I would suggest ordering them at a bar or restaurant.  That way you will be properly motivated when you are stumbling your way through the preparation.

Beef Stew

I thought I would post a flexible recipe today.  This is a beef stew that is extremely easy to make (all you need is a crock pot and a pulse) and can be served a couple different ways.  You can eat it by itself, or over potatoes or noodles.  Heres the recipe:

Ingredients

• 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
• 1 can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
• 1 package beef with onion soup mix
• 3 pounds beef stew meat

Directions

1. Pour the cream of mushroom soup, cheese soup and onion soup mix into a slow cooker, and mix well. Add beef, cover and cook on Low for 8 hours, or on High for 4 to 5 hours. 
2. Eat

Chicken Fried Steak

Last night I had my first chicken fried steak in a long while.  I enjoyed it so much I thought I would link you guys to the recipe.  Not the easiest dish to make, but well worth it.  This recipe isn't fried either so it won't slow you down.  Enjoy.

The Heat Pull Ahead

Chris Bosh took over the game tonight as the Miami Heat take a 2-1 lead over the Chicago Bulls.  Miami's won the last 2 games handily.  Are the Bulls done, or do you think they'll even it up tomorrow night?

No Rapture?

Bacon Chicken Burrito Wrap

Since the NBA Playoffs taking a break for the next couple days, I thought I'd make a post on some food.  I came across this recipe for some tasty looking burritos.  Looks simple enough; I'll post pics if I take a stab at it.

 

Ingredients
2 cups shredded, cooked chicken
1 cup sour cream
1 packet J&D's Bacon Ranch Dressing and Dip Mix
1/2 cup salsa
4-6 (10 inch) tortillas
Optional: black beans, lettuce, cheddar cheese, red pepper strips
Similar recipes

Preparation method
1.     Combine seasoning & salad dressing mix with chicken, sour cream and salsa in saucepan; heat thoroughly.
2.     Fill tortillas with chicken mixture and desired fillings.

3.     Destroy.

Good Night Macho Man

It is with deep remorse that I bring you tragic news.  One of my childhood icons Macho Man Randy Savage died in a car accident earlier today.  He will be missed.

Mavericks vs OKC

There's a big game tonight in the Western Conference finals.  Dallas vs OKC.  If Dallas wins they will take a commanding 2 to 0 lead in the series.  But if Oklahoma City can win one, they will tie the series at 1 game before heading back to their home court.  Does anyone have a prediction about the outcome?
